  1. No it's not a dumb question at all, when I got my first Hamster I wondered the exact same thing!

But no, your little hammy cant cry, it does have tear ducts but these are just used to clean it's eyes of foreign objects, but will express its feelings, If it's angry with you it wont let you pick it up or may "nip" or bite you, if it's sad it may not touch its food or let you handle it. and if its happy it will want to play with you, or burrow around and discover more of its home.

What may look like your hamster tears though, could just be "sleep" or a reaction to insuitable bedding like cotton buds instead of fiber bedding or very small particles of saw dust entering there eyes.

I hope this helps you out [=

  2. They can't cry tears but they do squeak if something is wrong. My hamster squeaks at me when she is hungry.

I think hamsters can cry when they are really young because they are trying to tell their mother something.

  3. No. Hamster's cannot cry, they have emotions but they can't cry. They're eyes can water if they have something harmful in their eyes like sawdust, e.t.c

It may look like your hamster is crying but they can't if they are unhappy they may bite or refuse to move or run.

    Hope that helped Lol !
