Hamster Question???!!!?

Well I THOUGHT that my mom said I could get 2 rats after the summer, but she changed her mind and said NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And there is NO WAY that my dad is going to say yes because he is SO scared of rats that if he sees one he will probably pee his pants. So my mom is kinda softening up to getting another hamster. I have the money, and I found a new little pet store where the hamsters look healthier because the place were I use to get my hamsters was really bad and all the hamsters were sick and use to die with in a week or less. It was really sad, but the new place I found seems great. Anyway, how do I get my mom to let me get another hamster, she is kinda softening up, but how do I convince her all the way??? THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just let her take you to the pet store and let her see how cute they are and she should say yes!!!

you should tell her all the good things about hamsters and show a picture of them maybe in the pet store and show how sad it is to be in a cage in the loud pet stores

Act likeyou are realy interested in them and do some research about them.let your mom know that you have been doing alot of research about them and you know how to take care of them now.you could aalso start doing lots of chores and helping out around the house alot then as for one again.

You should convince her that you are responsible enough to take care of a rat or hamster. Also make sure you have enough money to buy all the supplies you need.

What she says goes, it is her house and she knows she may have to end up cleaning it out when you get bored.

Don't ever get hamsters or any pet from a store. Adopt from a rescue instead.

Hamsters aren't easy to take care of. Yes, they are easy to shove in a tiny cage, shove some food and a wheel in and stick a name tag on, but what about free range? you can't out them in a ball thats for sure. Is it going to have a large cage, a large play area and enough stimulation to keep it happy?

Guess what? I got a hamster 5 days ago!!! To convince my mom I showed her my question that I asked on here it was called "How do I convince my mom to let me get a hamster?" That worked!!!! I also payed for everything and sent VERY  CONVINCING emails. Tell her what she wants to hear. Like how hamsters are oderless!

show her how great you take care of your current hamster .  Also say she doesnt have to touch it ever but if she wants she can because it'll be so cute =]]    show her how responsible you are.  She should let you get hamsters.  k bye

Remind her of how easy they are to care for, how cute they are, and how little space they take up.

And compared to some animals (ie cats and dogs) they are completely inexpensive.

It sounds like you've kept one before, so you know all the tricks and tools about how to keep one.

Butter your mom up. Prove responsibility by doing extra chores, make sure your grades stay up, etc.

I don't know you or your mom, but these are the ways I know of that work on almost anyone.

If all else fails, take her to the pet store and make her look at them with you. Don't ask to hold them because if they just happened to bite or pee on her, it'll be exactly what she DOESN'T want. But if you expose her to their adorable-ness, maybe she'll even want one, and not just let you have one.

#1.offer to pay for everything. that knocks out one of her arguments.

#2. clear out a place to put the cage where the smell can't waft into commonly used areas of your house. also make sure that it isn't near your parents bedroom so that when the hamster runs on his/her wheel at night the sound doesn't bother them.

#3. suck up to your mom for about three weeks then ask again. be persistent when you ask, but don't annoy her. she will cave in eventually if you catch her in a good mood.
