Hamster Scurry?

Question

Well I'm looking after my friends gorgeous Siberian hamster, while shes going to Ibiza. Her hamsters young, and her mum said you have to pick her up quickly, and sometimes she will lay on her back, and when i tryed she did, but then I ended up getting her and she was running around like mad, and I was like ahh ! But then I put her in the bath, and see if she would walk round me, and i stroked her a couple of times, but one time she like pushed her head against my finger as if to say "get off" I then put her back in, so she could settle down, it might just be shes young, afraid, and doesn't like being handled. I've had a siberian before and she was good as gold, then I had a russian who was good as gold, and I have another russian whos good as gold, does any one elses hamster react like this one?

my friend's hamster does the same thing except it bit me sooo hard, it was hanging off my finger, after that my ferret tried to get it, but don't worry i stoped him

MIne was like that but she has to get used to you first becuase she is afraid of new people. All hamsters are like that. If that hamser is not like that to your friend, that means its already used to her becuase she had her for longer.

I think the hamsters just used to being around your friend more than you. Dont worry the hamster will get used to you.

i dont have a hamster like this.. howevr my cuzn did..this one was i think about 9 to 10 weeks or smthn like that... it just took her time to get use to all the handling.. did ur friend get it from a petsore?? cuz they dont rlly handle their animals much.. i think she just needs some time. try talking to her softly. i hear hamsters can undrstandyou!!.  hav fun and good luck
