Hamster and the vet?

I am getting a hamster next week. I know alot cause i have been reading about thenm for 3 years now. I just wanted to know...

what would be the price if i brought him to the vet???

humm... i didnt know that vets sold hamsters ?

any way they r only about £6 in most shops and before u chose the hamster ur going 2 have ask them which one is young and helthy and will live long

You can't buy hamsters from the vet...

Hamsters in pet stores usually cost anything from £5 each to £10 each.

well, teh vets in miami charge $80 just to see you. that doesnt include mecdicine, or anything else. it could be up to $200 depending on whats wrong : )

She asked how much will the vet charge for a consultation.

She didn't say that she wants to know how much a hamster costs if BOUGHT from the Vet.

Well sweety, I'm not sure where you live, but in UK, the average consultation fee is 10 Pounds each.

In US, average is $7

Hamsters are cheap and easy to handle, but vet treatment is expensive.

Not to mention, there are medicine costs added to the cost per consultation, so each visit might take up to 20 Pounds or $17.

But it also depends on your local veterinary clinic.

If you do get a hamster, just make sure you can afford the vet cost before getting one, because hamster sickness is quite unpredictable.

It's actually not as expensive as I thought it would be.  It depends on what they do.  For us it was $17.00 (US dollars), including the medication.

it depends if your pet needs to be treated for something and i aint that sure how much it costs to see the vet and i dont think you can buy animals from the vet they cost about £6 or £6.50 at pet shops depends if you go to a breeder !!!!!!! =)
