My hamster is constantly scratching himself. His mother just passed away and the pet store we bought her from told us afterwards that several of the hamsters had ring worm (they just discovered this). The momma was losing a lot of hair, but my hamster is not. Could it be ringworm? fleas or mites maybe? any ideas?

  1. possibly ring worm, fleas or mites. You must take the hamster to the vets IMMEDIATLY it could be serious!

    Hope I helped!!

  2. it might be a skin desiese. my cat has it here he is constantly stratching and l*****g himself. i forget what the desiese is called right now but just ask your vet. if it is the desiese i am thinking of, don't buy the medication because it is really expensive ( hundreds of dollars for a small tube ). I would just ask your vet.

    Hope i helped =]

  3. fleas

  4. If the mother had it the bady could have it too.  As far as the itching I don't know but it might have fleas from being around other animals at the store.
