Give him less food and less treats. Lots of veggies and lots of excersize.

If your hamster is getting fat, it's not because he's eating too much, it's the problem with the food you are giving him. If it has a lot of fatty seeds (i.e - sunflower seeds) then take those out before you feed him, leave a few, but keep them mainly for treats.

Make sure you have a few exercise methods for him. A wheel is a good one, as well as a "run-around ball." My hamster Mocha loves to run around!

Good luck, but do NOT deprive your hamster of food.. maybe change his food to a healthier option.
