Hamster help, 10points 5stars for best answer!?

Question

I need some ideas on what to pick for my robo dwarf hamster. If u have any other ideas then post them here or pick one of that folowing that i cant pick.

As for cages, which cage seems better? If u think theres a better cage at PETSMART then post it here.

I also need help on toys, food, treats, cage accessories, ect. Im not sure which is the best. So if u can go to petsmart.com and send me the link to the best food, toys, treats, cage accessories, ect that would be so awesome!

The first cage is a lot better. Hamsters are not climbers. Floor space is a lot more important that fancy tunnels and what not.

Food must not be in seed or mix form!! Find a lab block brand. These are a lot more nutritionally balanced, and hard enough to trim teeth. Buy the most expensive brand you can afford. The cheaper the food, the crappier it is.

You need any water bottle with a metal nozzle and ball.

For bedding, you could use aspen or carefresh. Pine and cedar are toxic.

You must also have some hiding places, at least one other. There relly aren't any "best" ones, but if you don't want to waste your money on overpriced pet store stuff, you can simply use empty cardboard boxes. The hamsters will like to shred them, and when they do, simply replace the box. You can also put in paper towel into the cage. They will also shred it and nest with it. NEVER use any cloth or that "hamster fluff" material. These are choking hazards!

BEDDING: use the carefresh color bedding.. never use the pine tree wood stuff.. it can harm their lungs.

TOYS: hamsters dont really play with toys , but they always like tubes that connect to their cage o and they love exercise balls.FOOD: just look for somthing that says hamster on it. TREATS: my hamster loves the roll o's or the yogert drops.

ok,

for CAGES from petsmart the 2 you have selected are pretty good if I had to pick I(my opinoin) the 2 strory one( #2)

because it creates enough space for your hamster to frolic and climb like they would in wild.

as for #1 that would be much easier to clean! 1 story = condensed area of hamster waste! so You can go from there but I have selected 2 others I would like,

the crittertrail treehouse

and the ovo pad with ovo pad connectiobns(you can't just get the one, its too small)

TOYS-

deffinatly one of those balls you can out them in and they are free to go

some chew sticks(not big I would get circled or small shaped ones, or cut the long sticks into bits)

then besides the chew sticks get treats( I'm not giving a link just get a healthy brand with out a lot of preservatives in it) or you can give him fruit/ veggies!

I picked these 2 because they looked the healthiest and the best ones that didnt have all the added stuff thats probably not good for hammies!

Super Pet CritterTrail X Hamster Home is the best cage if you do not own a cat. The food my dwarf hamster liked best was Nutriphase® Gold Hamster/Gerbil Diet .
