My hamster is nearly 2 years old. He has started to loose his fur on the under side of his belly and legs and the skin is all pink. Also I have noticed there appears to be a big lump just off his bum. I think these might be his testicals but their seems to be another lump on them. But it is quite bit and hanging down. I have never noticed this before and only noticed it when i felt it when i picked him up. Does anyone know what this is? Also he has like a little white thing hanging of him further up i presume this is his tinkle?

He is completly bald on his belly now and legs?

Thanks

  1. your hamster could have a parasite problem, i would take it to the vet right away rather than wait for an answer.

  2. Your hamster is very old in hamster age chart. Old hamsters start losing fur as they age, they also eat less, sleep more and become less active than before. The hard fact is that old hamsters are very prone to tumours and cancers. What you see can be a cleared view of his underside organs since he has lost all the fur that hid the view or it could also be cancer. It is very difficult to say unless a vet can confirm the same. If you feel like, you can take him to a vet but vets do not operate cancer on old hamsters. The best thing to do is to give him lots of food and water and keep him very happy for the rest of his hamster life. Good Luck!

  3. im not hundred percent sure maybe its old age or cancer...... sorry

  4. It sounds like a tumor.

  5. I am very sorry to tell you this but your best friend is nearing his last days. I am so sorry!
