Hamster making strange noises?

Hi sorry another question about my hammy. She is nearly 2 and has been making these strange noises, like clucking noises like a cough but she's not coughing. She doesn't do it all the time just ondered if anyone knew what it is and why she does it.

Hello There :),

Hamsters and many other rodents often make these noises when they are sleeping and/or they are content.

I'm Sure there is nothing to worry about but if the noises carry on 24/7 then i might suggest taking him to get checked up.

Hey. Have you or anyone in your family had the flu lately and has picked your hamster up? Sounds silly i know, but its possible. I Advise you to take her to the vets. It could be her breathing, happend to mine too. Take her to the vets as something could be wrong hopefully nothing to heartbreaking.

it could be making those sounds because they are happy. my mouse does it all the time.

it sound like every time it eats something it can't sallow prop lay gets stuck or brings its food back up .i would take him to a vet a nd get him cheakedcout

Maybe she's sneezing or something.

Or she could have something in her throat.

Just be careful and watch her. =)

I don't know why they do it but mine does that every now and then....it sounds like they have something stuck in their throat but after a day or so they seem to clear it....my hamster is 18 months old and very fit and well !!!
