Question:

Hamster question, care to help ?

I recently moved into my basement, in which, there is a microwave on the desk. On the same desk, I have temporarily placed my hamsters on also. I was given permission to use the microwave if I wanted to, because it isn't being used, and won't be moved any time soon. The hamster cage is about a foot away from the microwave, and I think I may use it in the near future, but what I want to know is, if I were to use it, could it affect the hamsters in anyway?

I'm so paranoid about it that I haven't even plugged it in, because I don't want my hamsters being harmed in anyway (I finally got Roborovski hammies). Any help?

  1. ha ha don't worry... I had mine right on the darn microwave. I used it and its been 3 years since I got him and he is still healthy and fine.

  2. I'd move the hamsters, just in case the waves coming off the microwave do harm your hamsters.

  4. Hi! Unless there's a problem with the microwave It shouldn't be a problem. As long as it's in good shape, I don't see an issue using it.
