Hamster question, hamster owners answer?

so i've had my new hamster for 8 days now, 1st 3 days i left him alone 4th,5th,6,7th day i rubbed my hand in his bedding and then left my hand in his cage he moves around it and would occasionally sniff and never bites me...now today i lured him into a cup and i placed him and cup on my bed he got out and tried escaping of course but i blocked everything he even climbed my chest all the way to my shoulder to try and escape i cupped him and stroked him gently and for a split second it looked like he liked it cuz he stood still but still looked scared and then tried escaping from my hands again, finally i didnt want to stress him out too much so i put him back in his cage he sniff my hand again then started running on his wheel with a look that said"what the h**l just happened?...did i do ok? should i try again tomm for another 5 mins or wait?

thats good wt ur doin try again tomoz but remember dont wake him he wont like itwait till he awake

hamster get shocked easy so one way to stop them is to put your hand into a fist and but it in a cage and when he/she cane to it open your hand slowly and do it a few time then afther a while do with a treat if he takes it pick him/she up

My hamster was the same when we first got him =)

Only handle him when hes awake and active, and handle him regularly. Soon he wont be so shocked about being handled and will enjoy having to take him out and play with him.
