Hamster sleeping wit lights on??

I stay up till lyk 5 in the morning [[on break rite now]] I keep my hamster on my desk next to the computer since I'm on it for lyk 20/7 will the light bother him especially when hes sleeping??

it may hel getup and move if it botheres him and being on the computer for hours on end can make u go blind eventualy

The light will not bother him but your activities like typing away on the computer when he is lying next to you can disturb him and stress him since even during sleep, hamsters are attuned to sounds around them. So best is to keep him / his cage in a peaceful area away from your activities so that he can get a good sleep.

no. you could put him where there is less light or put a light weight cover, like a towel, to cut down on the amount of light shining on him.

It could do, I'd advise you move him away from the computer- you tapping away will annoy him, too.

yikes..why is he on your desk?? Could you find a better place for him? Hampsters are nocturnal but that doesn't mean they like the light..especially coming from a computer screen. I would imagine the typing would drive him insane too

They're nocturnal so he is always going to want to sleep when the light is on. It really isn't good for him to be subjected to light all the time. He will never want to be active and he needs to exercise in a wheel and do all kinds of little hamstery things while we are sleep. Put him somewhere else while you are on the computer at night. Let him figure out that there is a difference between night and day. Light and dark. He will like the dark.
