How can i make my hamster grow, he seems small, he is a syrian. My friend has a hamster and hers is way bigger and a similar age (hers is a female) are there any foods i can give him, he eats fine and exercises in his wheel. But i was just wondering? I dont want to make him fat and unhealthy? How long is it until they are fully grown?

  1. he might be the runt of the litter that means when the hamster gives birth there is always a runt :D my guinea pig is a runt :P

  2. I think it should be fine as long as he's healthy. Syrian hamsters are usually small, and maybe he's just born that way. chances are he'll grow if he's still young, but if not, don't worry about it.

  3. Well, not every person is big or tall. Accept him for what he is. Everyone grows at different rates, too. Remember, hamsters aren't supposed to be fat and chubby. Also, males are typically a bit smaller.

  4. Syrian hamsters are a small breed of hamster, so it could be that your friend has a different breed. Also, like people, animals grow to different sizes. I have 4 gerbils, and they are all different sizes. If he is still young, he might grow a bit more, but if he does not, no need to worry. Just feed him a healthy diet (fully balanced hamster food plus some fresh veggie and some nice treats once in awhile), and make sure he looks healthy. If he has a shiny coat, is lively and looks happy in himself, then all is well :)

  5. lol maybe it's a midget.Stretch him or something
