Hamster water?

Can hamsters drink water straight from the tap? And do you they like it warm or cold?

yes they can and they like it more cold.in the winter keep the water closer to room conditioner oops

Yes they can drink from the tap. They prefer it colder though. Not frigidly cold put make sure that it isnt warm.

yes but its healthier for them to drink from normal bottled water you might risk getting something in the tap water

Hamster can drink water from the tap, for the temperature, not to hot not too cold, so like room temp. In the summer though I try to keep their water cooler.

I always gave mine fresh cold water straight from the tap.Bottled water might be better for them.

yes they can have it from tap you should also put in a special vitamin thing it's yellow in a small bottle. I get from petco. They like it cool but not too cold.

If your tap water is safe for humans, it's safe for hamsters. You don't need to purchase special bottled water for your hamster if you're also drinking your tap water. If there's some reason you don't drink your tap water (bacterial comtamination, lead levels, etc) then your hamsters shouldn't have it either. Good old room temperature is fine.

yeah i have had rats a long time and i always gave them tap,so i will be ok to give it to your hampster,they like it romm tempurature.so it doesnt matter because it will go to room tempurature after sitting there for a few minutes
