Hamster with a swollen leg

Question

My roommates hamster was fine 2 days ago, and the last 2 days we were both out of the house a lot and didnt spend much time with him...

but tonight she picked him up and his left leg is so swollen up he cant even walk on his foot.

there are no cut wounds or injuries that we can tell.

Is this an allergic reaction? could he have broken his paw?

its 1:30 am so we we going to phone the vet in the morning but we're just wondering what to do until then.

maybe he/she got its leg stuck in something, and couldnt get it out for a while, and then probably yanked it out, and its leg probably just swelled up..

but you never know...

i think you should just keep it warm til morning, and give it lots of water and food:)

pamper him/her..so it can feel better...

yuo are doing the right thing pamper him until you go to the vet and keep a warm as possible also give him treats they love peas hope this helps x
