  1. I am thinking that ring worm is more a meat related product.  Dogs eat meat, so do cats Both can get ring worms.   Horses, cows, sheeps, rabbits don't have that problem.

  2. Ringworm is a contagious skin disease caused by fungal infection. The hamster has circular bald patches where the skin is dry and crusty and the hamster may scratch.

The hamster should be isolated from other hamsters and any other animals and veterinary treatment should be sought immediately. There is no treatment that can be done at home or bought from pet shops, only a vet can prescribe the necessary anti fungal medicines based on the severity of the ringworm infection.

  3. Ringworm is a fungal infection.  There's no actual worms involved.  I'm not sure about hamsters getting Ringworm, but I can't see why not.

You'd have to ask a vet about treatment.  The topical anti-fungals may be toxic to such a small animal.

ETA - I just looked this up and YES - Hamsters can get ringworm.
