Hamsters and Toys Help and Advice?

Question

Okay everyone I'm planning on buying a Hamster and I was wondering to all pet owners out there, what do you put in his/her age to entertain it? What kind of cage do you use? Just anything you want to tell me about your hamster ^^ Also posts of your hamster's cage would be great!

well i dont have one YET, but when i do im just going to put a empty toilet paper roll. oh and DO NOT use pine or cedar bedding. it is toxic to them=]

Wonderful! First, you need a hamster wheel that is large, and has no spaces for running steps. Make sure it is solid. Also, get toilet paper rolls, wood blocks for chewing and maybe a hamster hut. Get an aquarium 10-gallon or more tank. These are easy to clean and are enough room for hamsters to play. Use Pine or Aspen bedding, preferably Pine. Paper comes in big chunks, and is dusty. My hamster got paper in her eye (Carefresh), and she had to get $25 medication for the infection it caused. Pine comes oil-free, soft, and well-shredded. Pine is as natural for a hamster as it gets.

Also, I warn you. It is VERY easy to spoil your hamster. So don't spend more than $100 on it!  ^-^'  (Like I did...LOL!)
