Hamsters are SICK or dying :(?

Question

i have two hamsters. this is really really important that i find my answer soon.

i have a male all black syrian and he has diarrhea and when i touch him, he feels cold and falls over but will wiggle himself back to huddling up with his eyes closed.

then i have a black and white syrian. she just had babies and one of her eyes wont close. she either popped it out of socket or there's some yellow goop in it and she doesnt blink. it's so weird.

WHATS GOING ON?!! I really don't want the babies to die :'(

for the male buy like a warming pad for the cage. you can buy a waming pad in like petco or in the reptile section. dont feed your hamsters human food or oily food.hamsters also love purple lettuce.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but if your male Syrian has had diarrhea (also known as "Wet Tail") and is now cold to the touch and not moving much, he is probably not going to make it. Wet Tail is a very deadly disease, and the next time you notice a hamster has diarrhea you need to make sure you take him to the vet right away.

I'm not sure what's wrong with your mother hamster; it could be from a number of things. Has she been exposed to the sick male? If she's been even in the same room as the sick male, she and the babies need to be treated ASAP. Wet Tail is highly contagious, especially to young and ailing hamsters.

This is a serious medical emergency.

Your hamsters need to see a vet immediately if you want any of them to survive!

you need to get your hamsters to a vet as soon as possible. in the mean time keep you hamsters warm and dry and out of drafts. separate them from each other and take out all of their toys to be sterilized. if you have a warming pad i would use that i would get them on to clean bedding too. keep the environment as stress stress as possible.

are the babbies healthy looking? it sounds like the parents are in bad shape hun, you should seperate them and hand feed the babies :( sorry

First i really hope that your babies are ok. Second i would take them to a vet as soon as possible if you cant do that i really dont know what to do.Good Luck =)
