Its not a big suprise, He is 4 years old,

he's not moving, and he will not blink at all, and he's stiff and cold..but he's still breathing. He's pretty much paralyzed I think, and I dont know what to do.

What should I do?

Its really upsetting to me, and I dont know what to do, he's on his last leg, and..I just dont know what to do, theres nothing to save him, he's like paralized

  1. Make him as comfortable as possible, maybe spend as much time as you possibly can with him. :3

Good luck! And I'm very sorry!

  2. Spend time with the little guy. Comfort him. Feed him good food. Maybe some treats (apples and other fruits).

    Good luck!

    R.I.P :(

  3. wow! you must had taken care of your hamster very well beacuse a hamster living for 4 years is very good! and i 'm sorry about your hamster but ya like the others said spend time with it! i hope it rests in peace! but think of it like this you have been a very good owner! it must have had the best times in its life!

  4. I am sorry but the best and kindest thing to do would be to spend time with him right now and make him as comfortable as possible. You can call around and try to find an emergency vet to treat him, but a hampster's life span is usually 2 to 3 years, so at 4 years he's already lived well past his normal life span.

  5. Honey go spend time with him, please

    :/

  6. oh, I'm so sorry to hear that.  It always breaks my heart when I lose one of my little girls.  Though wow - 4 years - you must have been doing something really right.  You've given him a very good life.

When my babies get ready to go I usually lie down on the bed or a couch.  I rest them on my chest over my heart so they can feel the beat and I talk to them on and off until they go.  It lets me hold them which helps me and I think the heart beat is reassuring to them as well as the feel of my voice.

Just remember, we never really lose the good things.  You're little ham will be waiting for you when you get to heaven and just imagine what he'll be able to do there.  You have my empathy, sweetheart.  Its the price we pay for loving them but how could we do otherwise.  God bless.

  7. If you really care about your hamster and are willing to spend money for him, you should send him to the vet. If you really care, but you are on a low budget, try giving it food that he likes or leave him alone...he may be startled by something. My hamster has done something like that before, but that was because she was startled and played dead.
