Question:

Hamsters eye infection?

Couple weeks ago I noticed my hamsters left eye was a little red but I ignored it thinking it was because she was sleeping on it. Today I noticed it was pretty bad looking and when I went to wipe it the found it was bleeding. Does anyone know what it could be? I also noticed the hair around her mouth is gone like it was rubbed bare.
