Hand feeding?

i have been hand feeding my cockatiel since i got it, is that the best way to tame your bird?? It sometimes hisses at me but will that stop in time.

If you have been hand feeding it sinse you got it, how old is it? If it is hissing at you , then it must not be too tamed even with hand feeding. Some birds no matter what you do, never tame up and if I were you I'd keep trying but don't make it mean so much to you that you get your feeling hurt when it weens and is not tamed. I suggest buying a hand tamed cockatiel already weened.

If you train your bird and play with your bird it will eventually stop at a time.Trust me i know i have 2 cocktails.Good Luck!
