Hand foot and mouth disease.. help!?

hi i'm 19 and just got diagnosed with hand foot and mouth disease. how i got it, i have no idea haha. but i waited about 4 days before i even went to the doctor and my throat is just covered in sores. the doctor gave me a mouthwash that he said will eventually help but is there anything i can do until then to soothe the pain? i can't even swallow water without crying after. please let me know, it hurts so bad =( i feel so bad for babies.

I think it just has to run its course.. It takes time. I hope you feel better.

Take some pain killers.

Other than that, I don't think there is anything you could do.

I worked in a daycare and got it all the time.
