Hand insurance?

i no this sounds realy sad but i think its a gd idea i am a hairdresser and i was thinking the other day what would happen if i broke my rist what would i do so i was wondaring if anyone knows an insurance company that would insure them

  1. What you seek is short-term disability insurance, not "hand insurance."


  2. Aflac provides insurance if you are injured and can't work. It doesn't matter what the injury is.

    If you broke your leg, you wouldn't be able to stand all day. If you hurt your back, same thing.

    Don't limit it to just your hand.

  3. It's called disability insurance.  It doesn't just cover your hand, but your ability to work in general.  In the US, check out Assurity, Illinois Mutual, Standard, Aflac, and Union Central.  A good broker will work with at least three of these companies and be able to provide you with quotes.

  4. I think you would find the cost of the premium would be too high. You could try a bespoke Lloyds syndicate but they would only want large risks ie hairdressers that were multimillionaires not saying your not that good but think you would just end up paying all your money away
