the hand luggage rule at bristol airport is relaxed from 1st August 2008 on restriction of 1 piece of hand luggage. I am flying on friday with thomas cook airlines from bristol, does this mean I can take my handbag and another bag as hand luggage?

  1. I thought this was up to individual airlines rather than airports.

Just looked at the Thomas Cook website and it does stipulate only 1 piece of handbaggage limited to 5 kg.

Just looked at the Bristol Airport website and it states that they will now allow more than 1 piece of hand luggage through their security system.  It does warn passengers that individual airlines decide what goes or doesn't go in the cabin.

So, the answer to your question is 'no'.
