Hand print mold?

Question

I am looking for a recipe for a hand print mold. I am making a mothers day present.

Something that will harden and be able to paint.

If you want a hand cast similar to this-> http://www.castinggifts.com/files/158116...  You'll need a casting kit and follow directions similar to this-> http://www.bnglifecasting.com/diy/hand/i...

If you want a hand cast print like this -> http://www.flickr.com/photos/the_visitor...  you can use a fine powder plaster and follow the directions of the plaster.  Just before the plaster hardens completely ensure you press your hands into it for a nice print.  Maybe even use a heart shape pan sprayed with nonstick vegetable oil to pour the plaster in....just a thought.
