Too hard on the hands.... you wear a glove and hit the ball with your hand.  Most people have gone to racketball or squash

You need a ball, space, and a wall. Not many handball courts around, most people played it when they were like 6.

When I go to play there is always a long wait to get on the court.  I try to play in W.4th St in Manhattan. You people obviously have not seen a real game.  There are so many dives and great kill shots.  Its a great workout but you have get used to hitting with your hand.  Its not the easiest sport to play.  At least on the higher level.  They have recently started having bigger $$ tournaments in Miami so who knows where it will go.  

But to answer your question, the people who play are just not organized enough to make it big.

I am ranked number 2 in the Professional Handball Association, and I can tell you that Handball is really on the rise.

If you were to turn Pro now there is really a lot of money to be made.

Last year I played in over 20 professional tournaments, and I have won almost 10 dollars last year alone!

Attendance is booming! We had 4 people watching us behind the school at recess, and one of them left a quarter behind.

Life is good in the handball world.
