Handcuff idea. Please help?

We are planning a movie at my friends party. My other friend is being sorta like a hostage or prisoner. Should we handcuff his hands behind his back and take his shoes off so that his changes of running is impossible?

If there is drinking going on just make sure you have some sober intelligent persons nearby so people you may not know very well don't do anything stupid.  Trust me!  You cannot predict ignorance.  

But if he wants to be it is fine.  Just make sure you let him free upon request or you could be charged with abduction or any number of things depending on the situation, assault, etc.

To make running hard real police either use leg cuffs, they are just like hand cuffs only bigger with a longer chain or the use flexy cuffs tied together. For the movie you can fake flexi cuffs by using long cable ties, they come off easy and if they need cutting you use a wire cutting plier.

If that is too involved you handcuff behind the back and have him sit with his legs crossed.

Handcuffing so that one hand is free is never done as is handcuffing someone behind the back to the legs

Depends.  Do you want to go to jail for kidnapping.  Because if you handcuff someone and detain him, that is kidnapping and you will find out how the cuffs feel to you.

Also, if improperly applied, and not locked properly, you can and will cause injury.
