Handheld electronic device that allows WiFi Internet access???

I have considered and ruled out both Palm brand PDA and Apple's iPod touch because they are VERY limiting as to the types of web pages and software supported. Neither supports Java, Touch supports only MPEG4 and Apple software. Palm does not support any video, etc.

What about a PDA such as the iPAQ (Microsoft-based software support).

Or do you know of another? Pretty much, I'd like it to do at least a little bit of almost anything! (Is that even possible?)

  1. blackberry curve.

  2. A Windows Mobile such as the ipaq should do just what you need .

I prefer a touchscreen device ( pocket pc) myself there seems to be more software available for them

Check when looking at the specs to make sure java is included some do not .

It can be downloaded from esmertec but at an additional  $49.99

If it will not play the video format you want additional software is available for it and usually freeware

I would look for one that has windows mobile 6 or 6.1.

If you want to look at specs and compare a few go here

PSP and blackberry have  limited video formats mainly mpeg4

For windows mobile either it will play or you can download a player for it.

mpeg 4, avi, divx,flv,ogg,3gp ,3gpp,rmv,h.263,h264, and a lot of others

  3. PSP Does it all its even a remote
