Handicap placard rules?

I have a hadicap parking placard, for medical reasons. I just got mine today. tomorrow my family is going on vacation and we are bringing the placard. Is there anything we should know about the placard? to make sure we don't break any of the rules or violations.

Nope just make sure you put it in the window so that it is visable

It only allows you to park in handicap parking spots. PERIOD

You cannot park in front of hydrants, no parking zones, etc.
