Hands and Feet tingle when swimming?

When I get into a lake or a pool my hands and feet get an annoying sensation. At first it feels like thousands of tiny pin pricks, then they start to itch. It mostly happens when the water is just a bit colder. Its super annoying, does anyone else have this happen?

I have no clue why they do this, but I would ask a lifegaurd, swim coach, or doctor if it gets worse. Your skin could possibly be reacting to the cold water.
