Handy Hondo to sweep through the 450 metres flat race at Poole
The £97 prize money of the Grade A1 450 metres flat race has brought together Fiddlers Green, Handy Hondo, Droopys Yvonne, Fizzypop Elite, Delwood Roko and Kingsmill Lotus. The 450 metres flat race is scheduled for Tuesday, 16th October, 2012
at Poole.
Quite a few have tried their luck at the level before with one of the contestants getting to race at the open level, but failed to a fifth position.
The three-year-old Handy Hondo has been racing at Poole since three seasons now, and has raced at the identical level quite a few times before. The first time that the three-year-old won a Grade A1 race was on 6th May, 2012 in a 450 metres flat
challenge at Poole.
Racing in red, he got crowded when running in the first position, and taking control of the situation, he managed the track distance in 26.91 seconds. He kept the runner-up, Ballyridge Finn, adrift by just half-length.
Catching up with the third position was, Impact Man.
Just when it was time for him to retain the winning composure and strike a back-to-back, the fawn dog failed to the fifth position even though the draw was the same. It was the slow speed that made it impossible for him to finish even in the frame of the
first three positions.
The race was won by the favourite entry, Bigwood Pearl, in 26.57 seconds.
10th July had Hondo Dingle’s son completing the 450 metres trip in 27.00 seconds while racing in red in the Grade A1 450 metres flat race. Quick pace and leading role from the third position assured success.
Castlehill Nani then made peace with the second position after missing the winning mark by four lengths.
The last time the P. Ruddick trained gained excellence in the Grade A1 450 metres flat race on 23rd September, 2012 at Poole. Handy Hondo broke in blue and was difficult to contain as he hawked on to the early pace, and made it to the other end
of the wire in 27.31 seconds.
His lead of 1 ¼ lengths squeezed Tae Toe in the second position.
The next two races were failures.
The 4 to 1 entry will race out of the second trap tonight.
