Handycam 108 question...Single clips/folders?

Question

Why does it put my movies in single clips/folders instead of one big clip/folder? When you pause it makes a new clip/folder when you start shooting again. Is there away to make it one big clip? Or away to put 2 clips into 1? I know you can fix this with a movie editing program.

That's how it was designed.

Since you "know you can fix this with a movie editing program", just fix it there.
