Hang drying my jeans?

Question

Well I can't hang dry clothes outside due to the fact that I live in a bad area and trust me, people will take them right off the clothes line, so would it be the same if I just dried them lying flat on the ground, occasionally flipping them over?

Hang them lengthways over the bath or over the shower rail. Or over the bannister.

Use drying racks, which work pretty well.  Or put your clothes on hangers and hang them fom the bathroom rail.

No it wouldn't be the same. I don't know how to explain that, but I know it wouldn't be the same. You can hang dry them over a rack of some sort inside, though. They will problably be a little stiff, depending on how wet the jeans are. They will dry faster probably if you put a fan in front. My mom does this with my dad's jeans sometimes. They will become less stiff if you iron them though, depending on how tough the jean is. Hope this helps!

I hang my jeans on the top corners of my doors, so there's sort-of one leg on each side of the door. If they don't dry overnight, I turn them around so the other side is facing out. (I do this only on doors inside the apartment, not on the front door!)

Also, if you have chairs you're not worried about hurting -- say, metal chairs -- you can leave the pants draped over them. Do not use wood chairs or upholstered chairs!

The idea about the shower rod is a good one, too.

I think the problem with putting wet pants on the floor is that the half facing the floor won't get any air circulation to dry it and the wetness might harm the varnish (or if you have rugs, it might make the carpet damp and then bring mold).

put a line up in your laundry room & hang them there.

Do you (or a female friend) have a skirt hanger? The type with the little clips? Hang your jeans upside down in the shower cubicle. Then, when the legs are dry you can iron the pocket end and rub out the clip marks.
