Hanging money on a wall?

has anyone went into a chinese store or business and they have money taped to the wall? i recently went to a friends grandfathers house and he had a 5 dollar bill taped to the wall. does doing this bring money and good fortune? because if so i'm going to hang some on my wall.....

My friend's uncle owns a noodle shop and when i asked him about it he said it was the first bill he ever made. The larger the monetary value, the better luck you will have.

It is simply easy to understand that it's thier first bill that they made.

I don't see it as often now as I used to, but a lot of businesses used to hang the first dollar (or whatever paper money) they made when their shop opened.
