Hanley Ramirez is upbeat for his 2012 regular season prospects - MLB Update

Where others fall and falter at variations pitchers employ, only player Miami Marlins turn to for solace is Hanley Ramirez. Intelligence that he exhibits and patience he keeps for the right balls has made him formidable for opponents.
Such an amazing time he is having at Spring Training, even presence of Jose Reyes, the shortstop, has been overshadowed in his midst. Excluding his today’s game, he is spearheading his side in terms of batting average, which stands at an impressive .473
so far in Spring Training.
By the time Reyes entered the side, an immediate clash of roles emerged between Reyes and Ramirez, as both of them held a tremendous record in that position. Even speculations were, Ramirez will resist switching to third base as he was asked to by the management
to make way for Reyes at shortstop. Later however it turned out he had accepted his role at third base graciously and had even doubled his efforts to make a mark for his side.
"When everyone was talking ... I was working." He had replied to false speculations arising at the time of overlapping of his role with that of Reyes.
Now as he is responding to everyone on the ground with his excellent performance, he is equally confident of taking the same momentum to regular season.
He missed out on ending part of last season due to an injury with an unimpressive batting average of .200 until June 20 and the fact he suffered an injury and many other issues, he was hardly able to unleash his best.
Disheartened by his poor performance, he had wished to make up for his below par performance in next season.
“Every player is going to have a down year and it wasn’t even a down year because he was hurt. He did struggle, but nobody is worried about it. Obviously, encouraging signs so far.” said Marlins’ starter, Ricky Nolasco about him.
A player boasting a career batting average of .306 and record of 434 RBIs and in addition the fact, he is finding everything right on the mound, one can easily imagine a kind of role he is going to play for his side during the regular season.
