Hannah England takes up consultations to prepare for London Olympics 2012
The world 1500-meter silver medallist, Hannah England, has recently revealed that she has taken up consultations that will help her to overcome her innate timidity in order to perform better at the upcoming London 2012 Olympic Games.
The athlete has already made her mark in the world of sports but seeks to further brighten her legacy by giving a top notch performance at the Olympic Games. England was seen to make a show of her skills last year in summers where she was able to bag herself
the silver at the World Championships that were held in Daegu.
England was almost going to be knocked out of the running in the semi finals of the competition but was finally able to pull through.
England explained the reason for having consultations with the sports psychologist in the following words, “The biggest thing the sports psychologist has done is convince me it is OK to be aggressive. That’s not my personality but she showed me it is OK
to be aggressive, ambitious and determined. She’s also very good at making me say what I am scared of. I get scared of under-performing, not being at my peak, but when you write it down and see it on paper; you think well that’s an absolutely ridiculous thing
to be nervous about.”
The main competition that England will be facing at the Olympic Games this year is a force to reckon with. The two key challengers that England will be keeping a lookout for are Mo Farah as well as Paula Radcliffe.
For the purpose of reaching maximum physical fitness for the Olympic Games, England had been gone for training in Kenya in a camp that was set up in the high altitude Rift Valley of the country.
Next in line for the star British athlete who is 24 years old is the 3000 metre UK Indoor Trials that are going to be held in Sheffield. The event is scheduled to start from February 11 and last until the February 12.
The Olympic Games will commence from the July 27 and end on August 12.
