Hannah Miley accomplishes Women’s 400m IM gold – 2013 British International
Hannah Miley of Garioch accomplished gold medal of the Women’s 400m Individual Medley (IM) on opening one of the 2013 British International in Leeds, UK, on Friday, March 8.
Miley showed no mercy to her opponents in the distant IM discipline and cruised her way towards the finishing end for gold medal. She enjoyed a comfortable lead over strongest swimmer and cruised her way towards the finishing end for first position.
With her astonishing pace, she remained in a lead of three and a half body lengths over her following swimmer and surfaced on the wall for the title with an effort of 4 minutes and 35.57 seconds.
The gold medallist was chased by Aimee Willmott of Middleborough, who stayed 3.37 seconds slower and secured silver medal of the race with a timing of 4 minutes and 38.94 seconds.
The second best finisher was chased by Keri-Anne Payne of Warrender Ba, who was prominently away from her and stepped on the finishing end for bronze medal with the timing of 4 minutes and 42.85 seconds.
Fourth fastest spot of the race was obtained by Danielle Lowe of Middleborough, who was almost six seconds behind and posted an effort of 4 minutes and 48.43 seconds.
Lowe was chased by Rachel Williams of Bath University, who was full body length slower from her former finisher and tapped the wall with an effort of 4 minutes and 49.35 seconds for fifth position.
Sixth fastest spot of the race was obtained by Lucy Spencer of Co Sheffield, who was only 0.53 seconds behind and concluded her race in a time of 4 minutes and 49.88 seconds.
Seventh position of the race was obtained by Rachael Solway of Loughborough University, who stayed considerably slower from her former finisher and tapped the wall with the timing of 4 minutes and 52.32 seconds.
Last position of the race was obtained by Jackson Ellis of St Felix, who was one and a half body length and posted a time of 4 minutes and 53.88 seconds for eighth spot.
In addition, Miley received a huge round of applause from the crowd and collected medal after the session.
