Hannah Or Anastasia? for a baby girl ?

My sister is having a baby at the end of october. So i asked her what baby names she came up with. She said she liked Hannah + Anna. But doesnt know if Hannah is too common. What Do You reckon?

Hannah is a beautiful name, but it is very popular these days. It's number 9 on the top 100 most popular girls names list, according to the social security administration. I like your suggestion of Anastasia. It's pretty and uncommon. Still, if her heart is screaming for the name Hannah, she should go for it...

Hannah's not as common as a lot of other names.  I personally LOVE the name Hannah, it's very pretty.  Either one is good but i like Hannah the most :)

Neither! Hannah is too common. I have two sister-in-laws named Hannah. Anastasia is horrible and way too...Russian..

Anastasia definatley Hannah is way to common and now is associated with an annoying singer. Anastasia means one of power srength and beauty. Go with Anastasia i suppose you could always call her Anna. A name without meaning is no name at all

If she wants something different go with Anastasia.  If she wants something that is timeless go with Hannah.  I like either name.  Maybe wait and see what the child looks like and choose a name that suits.  What about Hannah Anastasia last name.

I like Hannah. Some people think that it is boring but I believe it is beautiful. You don't want anything too different though because you don't want your name to supersede you or define you. Leave that up to the individual to make the name suit them. She should pick a name that she likes regardless of what anyone else says. I like what another person posted saying Hannah Anastasia. It is a beautiful combination and you can call her by either name.

I like Anastasia, and Anna is very pretty to. Hannah is a bit common--but, it woule be "her" Hannah, also!!! Name her as she pleases!!! And congrats on being an aunt!!!
