Hannover 96 manager Mirko Slomka has stated that he is anticipating a great season ahead. He claimed that his side is ready for the challenge in the next campaign and will be prepared for the European stage as they play in the
UEFA Europa League.
Die Roten had a sensational campaign last term as they finished fourth on the standings table with 60 points. The club gave Bayern Munich a run for their money for the final Champions League qualifying spot but dropped too many
points in their last few games to fall short. Hannover won 19 and lost 12 of the 34 matches played and was one of the most impressive sides of the season.
Slomka expressed his delight as his team started the pre-season training. He stated that he was happy for the support his team had got in the season ended and was elated to see more fans coming and watching the team train.
The former Schalke manager admitted that it is a good period for his side to keep training well and reach the full fitness level before the next season starts. The tactician also hoped that his side would continue performing in
the next campaign and that the team would continue achieving the success.
“I was incredibly happy at the start. The great response with 600 people makes it clear how great anticipation for the upcoming season. We now have intense weeks to go before we start in the DFB Cup and the Bundesliga goes,” the
manager was quoted as saying in an interview.
Hannover’s new signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christian-Pander-c9111 has also voiced his admiration for the club and claimed that he is looking forward to train with his new club in the next few days. He added that he would relish the chance of playing under
Slomka again.
“I feel the confidence of those responsible that all conversations with the coach and the manager have made clear. I want to be next week in Celle first train with the team,” Pander claimed.
Hannover 96 start their campaign against Hoffenheim at home on August 6.
