Hannover manager Mirko Slomka disappointed at missed chances against Copenhagen- UEL news
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hannover-96-c39492 manager Mirko Slomka has expressed his disappointment on the missed opportunities throughout the UEFA Europa League clash against FC Copenhagen. He claimed that his side had a brilliant chance of winning the match but
they threw the lead twice as a result of lapses in concentration. The manager admitted that it could have been an easy win if the strikers had taken their chances.
Die Roten missed the chance of securing three points against Danish opposition FC Copenhagen in a clash at AWD-Arena when they drew 2-2. The Germans were in the lead twice in the match but wasted the chance as both sides shared
the spoils.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-Pinto-c33094 scored in the 81st minute to give Hannover the lead again but a goal from the visitors in the dying moments
of the match meant that the match ended with a 2-2 score line.
Slomka was unhappy with the amount of opportunities missed throughout the course of 90 minutes by his side and rued the chances his strikers were able to score from. He insisted that Hannover was far the better side in the fixture
and thoroughly deserved to win the match.
“I'm really annoyed at missing such a good chance to record our first home win in the group stage. We were the better team and had the better chances but FC Copenhagen have more experience at this level. Perhaps in the end we lacked
a little European experience,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
Winger Sergio Pinto added that the team conceded a poor goal in the end to give away the lead which was disappointing. However, he admitted that the club is still in a very good position to qualify for the next round.
“It would have been great if my goal had been enough to win. However, the group is still open to anyone to qualify and we must do everything we can in the remaining games to get enough points to take us through to the knockout
stage,” the striker added.
Hannover will next face Copenhagen in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Denmark-c2884 next month.
