Hans-Joachim Watzke: Mario Gotze is not for sale - Bundesliga news
Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has ruled out the possibility of Mario Gotze’s departure from Germany. The player has recently been linked with a move to the English Premier League giants, Manchester United, but the CEO has denied such prospects.
He also warned the Red Devils that no bids will be entertained by the German club for the attacking midfielder.
Watzke termed all these transfer news as rumours and urged Gotze to concentrate on the upcoming assignments. He claimed that the teenager is satisfied at the club and never requested a way out of Signal Iduna Park. Gotze himself had previously stated that
he doesn’t want to move anywhere else and feels proud to be a part of the champions’ squad.
Gotze’s talent was on display last week when he scored his first international goal for Germany against Brazil in an international friendly. club is set to expire at the end of the 2013/14 campaign.
The CEO reckons that Gotze is one of the finest players around and has all the prospects of becoming the best European footballer. He further hailed the midfielder’s abilities by rating him as one of the special talents ever produced by the country.
Hans-Joachim concluded by saying, "There may come interest, but we have not the slightest intention to sell Mario Gotze. No matter which club wants him, our answer is always the same: Mario is not for sale.”
The youngster has 39 league appearances to his name so far and has netted seven goals during the process. He has seven international caps for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 last week. Mario won his first major
silverware last season with Dortmund after the Borussians won the long awaited title.
