Happy Anniversary to follow the precedent set in order to grab the Stillorgan Handicap
The undisputed favourite of the Stillorgan Handicap is the six-year-old mare, Happy Anniversary who has had quite an eventful season till yet with a second score and then a hat-trick. The 4 to 1 entry will be accompanied by thirteen other three-year-old and above runners over a mile and a furlong on Thursday, 19th July at Leopardstown. The line-up will reel in for the wire in order to get entitled to the €22,750.
Two among the rest of the contestants, Strandfield Lady and Akasaka, have bagged a back-to-back just before failing to transform it into a hat-trick by attaching the third success string.
Intikhab’s six-year-old mare held the runner-up’s honour in the Follow Gowran Park On Facebook Apprentice Handicap on 3rd July, 2012 at Gowran Park over a mile. The race was won by Apache Gold but not by a significant margin, as it was just half a length.
Breaking from the fourteenth stall, the six-year-old grinded in on the distance until she reached the turn for home, and maintained composure within the final furlong.
This was the last time that she ever compromised with success as all the three races that followed got lined up as wins.
R. Donohoe trained and owned won the Tote Jackpot Handicap on 8th July, 2012 at Bellewstown race course over a mile. The switching of positions through the track distance became challenging for the Irish bay mare as she was third half-way down the distance and then got driven down to the fifth ranking when there were the final two furlongs to race over.   
The six-year-old out of mare, Happy Story, won by a slight neck’s margin and set Lady Lyrath, as the runner-up.
She then took over the Leopardstown Apprentice Handicap on 12th July, 2012 at Leopardstown over a mile. She defeated the runner-up, Toufan Express, by 3 ½ lengths while riding with jockey, Ross Coakley.
The third leg for the hat-trick came in on 16th July, 2012 in the O’Keeffe’s Marquee Hire Rathmore Handicap at Killarney over a mile and half a furlong.
Bred by the Thomastown Stud, the six-year-old won the race by the margin of 1 ¾ lengths.
