  1. Canada is one of the easiest places in the world to immigrate into, especially into Quebec since apparently Quebec is trying to entice more immigrants as a method to increase their population (due to low birth rate and desire to increase their French speaking). All you need is a clean record and a bit of money. Once you have immigrated, you can then move on to other warmer provinces in Canada, without having to stay in Quebec or learn French. The best job market is in the Northern parts of Alberta, but it is easier to immigrate via Quebec.

Canada has a social system which is pretty easy to take advantage of, once you are settled. If you are able to live multiple people together, you can get bank accounts, use temporary addresses, apply for welfare from the Canadian Human Resources and Social Programs Federal government, then move in together later. Peolpe are also premitted to live together and still get social assistance as long as they are not related. Once trick is to use different apartment numbers to show you are not living together... such as Apartment 20 can be quotes as Apr 20-A  Apr 20-B and so on (according to the mail box system). There are many ways to work around the Canadian system to get what you need.

  2. Canadians!

That's what I love about our country!  I live in the States now, and go home about 4x each year.  Every time I go home, I am reminded of how different we are from our neighbours to the south.  I went to Vancouver (I'm from Toronto) two weeks ago and got lost driving.  I asked a much older man for directions, he drew me a little map on a napkin and said because it was far, he would give me his cell phone to call him just in case I got lost again!

  3. Yes, we are! h**l yeah, Eh?

Fun loving and (usually) very polite!

I love Canada because I was born here, to an American mother, who would rather be here, than there!

And HERE, she stayed, many years ago!

Happy Canada Day to all Canadians!

    I love you all!
