Happy NASCAR Day!!! How many of you believe it should be...?

Question

i just wanted to wish you all, rowdy's world citizens or not, Happy NASCAR Day!!! how many of you believe it should be a national holiday? how many took off work anyways?

how many of you bought (and are wearing) your pins, and how many did you buy? did you give some to friends? how many have called in to try to talk to their favorite driver, as he mans the phones at the telethon? how many of you have called in at all?

me - i'm not wearing my pin as i work at home and no one but me would see it - it'll go in the collection. plus i wouldn't want to poke holes in my brand new JGR team shirt - the black one with the three drivers and their car front-ends on the back - nor in my brand new black m&m's twill jacket - it's too big and i'll have to exchange it. i like that fedex delivered it, and fast too.

and, no, i won't be calling in - i support as much as i am able to already, plus my boy is busy all day, so i don't think he'll be manning the phones...

Got my T-shirt on and my pin and so do the other people at work...I made everybody at work Nascar fan or not they bought them they did not have a choice. My friend and I in the Official members club we had 250 a piece to sale, we sold them all..

I have two nascar day pins, I bought them at LVMS back in March, I have on my black Kyle Busch t-shirt with the red m&m and Kyle's car, have my pin on..

I didn't take the day off, I own/operate my own business, it's hard to take the day off

not calling in, no part of me wants to sit on hold on the phone for who knows how long

but it's for a good cause, and that's what matters!

You can tell the folks at Nascar are going to push to make this a national holiday. Now they are even doing a telethon. Jerry Lewis should kick somebody's butt for stealing some thunder. I'm probably alone in this thinking no way does a racing series deserve it's own national holiday. Nice job from the PR department at Nascar pushing this. What's next? NFL Day? NBA Day?
