If anyone does their homework, they will know that our 'balance' with the earth is way outta wack. The answer to this question is surprisingly simple, we must return to a lifestlye which is in harmony with the earth and it's beings.

The simplest and most effective thing that each of us can begin with is turn to a Vegetarian or even Vegan diet. I know people get pretty emotional about this idea and change, but it is the fastest solution to many of the worlds problems. According to the IPPC, the meat industry contributes to 18% of total climate change gases. more than the entire transportation contribution combined.

Plus, we cut down rain forest for cattle. The waste goes into our rivers, and oceans. The soil after a short time of livestock pounding is useless for decades.

Balance can begin as we turn to a more noble lifestyle and this includes a Vegetarian way of Life.

hi kar, it was a great gesture u did by planting a tree, sory there is no place near my house to plant a tree, well in our office we all had a sticker saying save world as we have one earth.

have u named the plant? who is the lucky person name u have kept for u r plant?

The same to you. I planted lots of flowers and A small pine tree that I actually found growing behind my garage. So I carefully dug it up and replanted it.

While thanking to you for your good wishes, I too wish you the same, and am very much pleased to know there are many like me who are really tree lovers.  Being an Agriculturist, it is also a part of my duty to plant trees through out the year, still I planted some special trees for the memory of this day being a World Environment Day.
