As an Optimist and a Happy Person with a measured higher intellect, I can honestly say thet happy people are niether stupid nor "intelligently alienated".  Levels and degrees of happiness do not determine either.

If you are that unhappy, I would strongly suggest you talk to someone.  One of the great things about the good old USA is that we have a ton of counseling options, including some very anonymous 800 numbers (Boystown for teens and young adults, various lines for adults), and counseling services all over the place just in case!

Happiness can be a choice - I went through a terrible, abusive marriage and made a concious choice to make my life happy and be fulfilled in myself.  It took a long time, but I learned very well that true happiness comes from within and is not dependant upon anyone or anything else.

You can't really judge anyone's intelligence by seeing how happy they are. In fact, what I have noticed, is that a lot of people who are happy most of the time tend to get better grades because they have the energy to put in a lot of effort in their work. Hope this helps.

I don't really think that they exist. everyone has different emotions at different times and I guess these people don't show their sad side to anyone. but they still feel sad at times. If you don't then you are not human.
