Harassing Phone Call Charges?

I called a teachers number one time without caller id. Because my friend told me to. Well anyway after that i guess he recived a lot of phone calles. And I guess some of the people said mean things but anyway, he doesnt beleive me he thinks i did everything... Can i get charged if i called him once? I hung up before he answered the phone.

No you can.  If they want to press charges, they will have to run a trace from teh phone company.  That alone will prove that it wasnt you.

Having the intent to harass is not the same as actually doing a harassment. If he did not answer before you hung up, how would he have known your intent was to harass him? You can not be held liable for the acts of others. But The police can get a warrant and search your phone records to see if you were the one that kept calling. To sum it up, One phone call, He did not answer=no charges.
