Harassing Phone Calls?

I have been getting some scary phone calls. I have not given my number out to anyone...my fiance, my doctor, my mother in law...no one has my number but those people...and the State. I don't give it out, I don't like to! this is my cell phone.

A few weeks ago I got a call from an unknown number. It was an older white male with a raspy voice. He said "Are you ready for my s**y phone call?" and then hung up on me. In one hour he called a total of seven times. I shook it off after I called my fiance and he said it sounded like a prank call.

I turned the shower on and was getting ready to get in. I had my clothes off and had the shower curtain pulled open and my phone rang. I answered it quickly and it was him again. He said "I like my girls dirty," and a few other obsene things that I can't remember word for word.

That freaked me out and I hung up and called 911, thinking he may be watching me. They came out and looked around, saw no signs that anyone had been in the woods or yard. My neighbors had not been home, so of course no one saw anything. They said since he was calling from an unknown number and it was my cell phone there was nothing that they could do, they didn't even let me file a report.

Then today, I started getting numbers from a NC number I've never seen. I answer and hear a man...to be blunt...jerking off. And then he hangs up. And when I called the number back to see who it was, it was a disconnected number...everytime. I called the police department and again, they said there was nothing they could do for me.

What should I do?

  1. The #1 purpose for the police is to s***w as many people as possible.  On rare occasions, it may help someone else.

Call your cell phone carrier for advice.  They should be able to change your number.

  2. Here's what I did once:

I was getting a series of calls where someone says something stupid and hangs up and then calls a minute later.

Finally, I had a male friend answer, "City of Renton Police."

The jerks hung up and stopped calling.

Later, my husband got a call from some idiot friends of his. They admitted to making the calls and were scared that the local police were tracking them.

So, next time you are getting those calls, have a male friend (with a deep and scary voice) answer, "(your city) Police."

That's sure to scare your potty-mouth caller.

  3. You can make police reports of this, the police cannot do anything unless you know who is calling you..change your number on the cell phone
