Harbaugh will compete against Belichick at Pebble Beach
Jim Harbaugh is looking to outplay Patriots coach, Bill Belichick, at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
Harbaugh is the coach of San Francisco 49, a National Football League (NFL) team. He and his team were unable to reach the Super Bowl, as they failed to qualify for that by losing in the NFC Championship.
His team did not play at Super Bowl and his wish to play against the Pats did not come true. Now he has a chance to beat the Pats, by defeating the Pats coach in golf.
NFL stars have mapped out some good plans, as they are doing the same as they do at NFL.
Golf at Pebble Beach is starting on Thursday, February 9. And all the leading golfers and some NFL stars are in the field.
Harbaugh said before the tournament that he is not a good golfer. However, he cannot step back to maintain the competition against another NFL star at Pebble Beach.
He will deliver his best and does not want to give a safe hand to Belichick. Harbaugh always tried his level best to lead the score over the Pats at the NFL grounds. Now he is focusing to lead on the golf course as well.
“Yeah, that’s my goal: outdo a couple other guys,” Harbaugh said. “… Bill Belichick, Herm Edwards, Nick Saban and Bob Stoops. (I want to be) be first among the football coaches”.
The tournament is being staged by the Professional Golf Association and is popular for featuring celebrities and other sports related stars.
On the other hand, there are all the leading golf players teaming up with the celebrities, making this tournament more appealing.
Golf is gaining respect nowadays, as the officials are utilising their all skills to redesign the game format of every tournament.
Hence, the four-day tournament at the Pebble Beach is making the environment interesting for the Californian fans.
Competition is tough and it is also expected that some major records will be made on the course.
There are high expectations from Tiger Woods to deliver his best and lead the leader board. At the same time, however, there are many chances for others as well to lead the score and outclass him.
The field is set and the tournament is starting from February 9 to 12, 2012. NFL fans and followers are heading towards California to support their stars.
