Harbhajan Singh glad everything clicked against Rajasthan Royals – Cricket News
Player of the match in the second qualifier of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Harbhajan Singh, is glad that everything clicked for his side just before the big final against Chennai Super Kings.
Singh, who took three wickets in the crucial match said, “It was one of those days when everything clicked. Wicket in the first ball gave me a lot of confidence. This is my favourite ground to play cricket and
it's the best ground in the world.”
The spinner was optimistic about his side’s chances in the final under the young skipper Rohit Sharma. “We are there to support Rohit Sharma, chip in with our bit and hopefully we can all assist him in lifting
the trophy,” said the 32 year old.
After losing the toss, Mumbai were made to field first and were smacked by the Royals’ openers Rahul Dravid and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ajinkya-Rahane-c970 for 44 runs before Singh hit timber by dismissing Rahane, who faltered with 21 runs
to his name. This wicket was crucial which actually put the batting side on the back foot.
Singh didn’t stop just there, as he nabbed another extremely important wicket of Shane Watson, who perished after scoring only six runs. The loss of these two wickets in quick succession was enough to halt the
batting onslaught.
However, Singh’s next wicket was the most important of them all as he sent Rahul Dravid home, who played a knock of 43 runs and was the highest scorer from his side. With Rahul’s wicket, Singh managed to completely
dismantle http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rajasthan-c837’s upper order.
He later stayed unbeaten on six runs to see his side cross the finish line for the loss of six wickets in 19.5 overs.
Meanwhile, skipper Sharma felt that his side should have wrapped up things earlier. In his post-match interview he said, “Some tense moments but we have shown character throughout the tournament. We should have
finished the game by the 19th over probably. I have really enjoyed captaining since day 1.”
